Full Term

Well I apparently am not so good with this blogging stuff! So much has been going on that time has just been flying. I am now 37 weeks and 1 day pregnant, meaning that Thomas is considered "full term". I am so beyond ready for him to get here so I can finally see his sweet face and if in fact he does have red hair like I've thought from day 1. I am also ready for him to be here because I am soooooo OVER BEING PREGNANT! I love feeling him in me but I am sick of being so exhausted but can't sleep, peeing every 10 seconds and lately my feet look like they don't even belong on my body anymore. Swelling stinks! I went to the Dr on Wed and I am 1/2 thinned out and a "smidge" dialated as I was the week before so I think he's going to take his sweet time. On Wed I'll have an ultrasound and am excited to see him! His room, diapers, clothes, etc are all ready we just need a Thomas now!

25 weeks (almost)

Went to the dr today for my monthly update and everything looks great! My blood pressure seemed high to me (136/72) but Dr Cimino and his nurses didn't seem concerned at all. Thomas had a nice strong heartbeat at 136. Next month I'll have to do the glucose test and after that I'll start going to appts twice a month! It blows my mind that we only have 15 weeks left! I am so ready for Thomas to be here, but so unprepared at the same time. Ready or not he's coming though ha! Next week we hope to get his nursery all painted and then we'll get the crib in there. It's all coming together! Something big that's recently happened is I've started to feel him kicking! No longer just "flutters", we have jabs! I love feeling him in me and feel like I'm going to miss being pregnant once he's here. Guess I'll just have to take it all in and enjoy these last few weeks. :)

Confirmation!

Today we had our 20 week anatomy ultrasound with Dr Cimino. We are so excited that we got confirmation that Thomas is a BOY and we aren't having a 3 legged girl. Once again he was sitting "indian style" with his little hands on his knees. After some gentle poking by the ultrasound tech he opened the legs up for the money shot! Everything looks great and he's measuring 14 oz and about a foot long. The tech compared him to a Subway footlong HA! So excited!

We also let Trace's grandparents know right after the ultrasound that we had decided to name the baby Thomas after Trace's Papa Tom. He's just the sweetest man! He's very quiet, but you could tell that he was beaming! It was such a great day!!!

 It's a boy!

Thomas's little foot. 10 toes and 10 fingers were counted!

"It" has a name....part II

So....we thought we were set on Vincent. We both liked it and agreed on it, so that should be the name, right? Wrong. As much as we did like it, we never got excited about it like we did our girl name. Then today as we were talking about names with my mother-in-law, the name Thomas came up. We both LOVED it! It also happens to be Trace's super sweet grandfather's name. So now we are set, and excited, about THOMAS KEITH!

We are scheduled for our ultrasound on Wed just to clarify that he is in fact a boy! :)

Anytime now "nesting"...

I keep waiting for my 'nesting' instincts to kick in.We have SO much to do around the house and I just don't have the motivation to do it lately. We got our bedding in a few weeks ago and are slowly starting to get baby clothes for Vincent. We just have to switch bedrooms (we're turning the guest room to the master...both are the same size), paint nursery (we'd also like to paint our room), get crib in and assembled, get all other furniture ready.....AHHHH! I'm sure it'll all get done, I would just feel relief if it was done now.

Our super cute bedding!

"It" has a name!

After a lot of discussion, tons of lists, advice from everyone we know, etc...we have decided on a name for Cricket! Oddly enough, it was our original name. So come June, VINCENT KEITH will be here! We are so excited we can barely contain it!

What's in a name????

So at just 18.5 weeks I am well aware that we have A LOT of time to pick a name for our little one, but I will feel a lot of relief once we name our little "Cricket". Before we found out that it was a boy we were set on Vincent Keith as the name....but once we got "it's a boy!!!" I started to feel like that isn't his name. It's definitely still on The List, but just not 100%. Trace and I have definitely found that we are complete opposites with name choices. I like old-school classics like Oliver, Henry, and John. Trace really likes names like Monty, Godrick, and Dante. Eek! I'm really interested to see what he ends up named! Any suggestions?

It's a.....

BOY!!!!!

Well we are 90% sure that it's a boy. Got some pretty good shots but little one is a bit stubborn and spent most of the ultrasound sitting indian style!!! We thought that we were 100% set on Vincent, but once we found out it was a boy we started second guessing the name and thinking of some new ones. I'm interested to see what he ends up being called. I was sure that he was a girl so it was definitely a shock seeing little boy parts, but I am so excited!!! Nothing better than a boy lovin his mama! I can't wait to meet HIM!!! :)

Stuck in my head....as I'm sure it will for a few more years.

Baby Mine

Baby mine, don't you cry.
Baby mine, dry your eyes.
Rest your head close to my heart,
Never to part,
Baby of mine.

Little one when you play,
Don't you mind what they say.
Let those eyes sparkle and shine,
Never a tear,
Baby of mine.

If they knew sweet little you,
They'd end up loving you too.
All those same people who scold you
What they'd give just for the right to hold you.

From your head down to your toes,
You're not much, goodness knows.
But you're so precious to me,
Sweet as can be,
Baby of mine.

All those same people who scold you,
What they'd give just for the right to hold you.

From your head down to your toes
You're not much, goodness knows.
But you're so precious to me,
Sweet as can be,
Baby of mine.
Baby of mine

First Post!

Trace and I got married Sept 3, 2010 and then were SHOCKED to learn that we were expecting in late October. Guess we work fast... So now we are anxiously awaiting out little "Cricket" to make his/her appearance in June. June 24th is the latest d-day. My sister recently suggested starting a blog to chronicle our preparation and life of our upcoming arrival, so I thought I'd give it whirl!  We are going to find out on Wednesday (just 2 more days!!!) if Cricket will be a Vincent or an Evie and we CAN NOT WAIT! I'm hoping to really keep on top of this blog to keep friends/family in the loop, as well as keep a great record for us! It might take me a min or two to get the hang of this blogging thing, but hang in there! :)

"Cricket" as of December 2010...should get a new one on Wed!
